Active Play and Physical Development
Promoting Healthy Bodies and Minds
Active play is an integral part of our curriculum, supporting the development of motor skills, coordination, and overall physical well-being. Our outdoor spaces are designed for exploration, creativity, and physical activity. Whether climbing, running, or playing team sports, children engage in activities that promote strength and agility. We believe physical activity helps children build confidence and contributes to cognitive and emotional development.
Teaching Environmental Responsibility
At Mini Scholars, we instill a sense of environmental responsibility from an early age. We encourage children to recycle, reuse, and repurpose materials. Our learning materials are sustainably sourced and we collect rain water for watering our plants. Children learn how small actions can make a significant impact on the planet.
Partnering with Parents
We value the role of parents in a child's education. There are many ways you can be involved in your
child’s learning experience, from volunteering at events to sharing your ideas and feedback. We also encourage parents to attend meetings, participate in special events, and communicate with us about any concerns or ideas. Together, we can support your child's growth and development.
Transparent and Clear Fee Structure
We strive to make our fees clear and accessible. The breakdown of fees, payment schedules, and any additional costs (e.g., for special programs or activities) will be provided. Payments are due on the 1st of each month, and we offer flexible payment options for your convenience.
Keeping You Informed
We believe in open communication and keeping parents updated. You will receive regular newsletters with school news, updates on your child's progress, and information on upcoming events. Additionally, we use an app to send photos and messages, and parent-teacher meetings are scheduled to discuss your child’s development and milestones.
Supporting Growth at Every Stage
We understand the importance of supporting your child’s development beyond the classroom. Our staff are trained to provide guidance on emotional regulation, behavior management, and building healthy relationships. We also provide resources for parents to continue their child’s learning and growth at home.
Creating a Positive Environment
To maintain a positive and respectful environment for all, we ask that parents adhere to the following guidelines: Respectful behaviour towards staff, children, and other parents. Adherence to school policies and procedures. Support for the school's ethos and values.
Clear communication with staff about any concerns or issues.
Unique Learning Opportunities
Our Global Explorers Program allows children to engage with cultures and traditions from around the world. Every month, we explore a new country, learning about its customs, food, language, and art. Additionally, we organise cultural days, field trips, and sustainability projects that enhance the children’s learning experience.
